Job Description

  • Oversees, develops and manages content, design, & information architecture UI/UX for company websites.
  • Develops website features and pages consistent with information architecture and data driven design.
  • Manages the content management process for company websites ensuring consistent design and optimal function including text, graphics, files, and video.
  • Collaborates with IT to automate internal business processes through web-based applications and workflow solutions.
  • Works with web project team to draft User Requirements (URs) and/or conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for web / ecommerce as needed.
  • Collaborates with IT and back-end developers to achieve web functionality and design.
  • Conducts voice of customers for online experience to align with user needs.
  • Monitors and reports on website performance and usage trends.
  • Audits websites to identify issues including functionality, GUI irregularities and broken links, etc. Continually scans and monitors website for security vulnerabilities and updates design and architecture to mitigate risk.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness.
  • Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required.
  • Adjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlines.
  • Adheres to site environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision to establish priorities, activities to accomplish responsibilities.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.

  • Experience in web design, including User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI).
  • Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) (e.g., WordPress, Umbraco, etc.).
  • Experience applying best practices for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Proficient in working with popular web analytics packages (e.g. Google Analytics).
  • Experience with Microsoft’s collaborative tools including SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting websites that are interfaced with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience integrating websites with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft CRM, etc.)
  • Experience links website with document management systems and other backend systems
  • Experience using Enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Pyramid Analytics, SAP Business Objects, etc.)

  • Experience in life sciences or healthcare industries with regulatory considerations such as FDA, HIPPA, ISO, and PCI.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required; Equivalent work experience can be substituted.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in front end development and content management required.
  • Development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript is required.
  • Experience working with a global organization is a strong plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to convey complex technical information concisely given audience and subject.
  • Able to understand key business processes and look for ways to drive new ideas that impact the business.
  • Responsive problem solver and proactive to take actions
  • Detailoriented, analytical and investigation skills
  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage (internal or external) client expectations.
  • Collaborative in approach, results-driven, and a strong team player.
