1: 15+ Years of relevant experience2: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Physics3: Applied knowledge of turbomachinery design and operation, thermodynamic system performance, turbomachinery testing and simulation.4: Experience in gas turbine performance for test cell and field support, working to customer timelines.5: Applied development of engineering computational and data processing tools.6: Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to work to fast-paced schedules with minimal direction from management, leveraging internal and external contacts.

The Performance Group conducts concept and advanced thermodynamic cycle studies, develops and calibrates performance predictions for new or uprated engines, oversees performance during engine development, supports production test and a variety of product support efforts, and is responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's proprietary software that is used to analyze, predict and guarantee performance and emissions of the company's current and future product line. .The software is used at throughout the world. The group also analyzes engine data acquired during acceptance tests that is used to troubleshoot and trend the aeromechanical behavior and performance of each product line. .The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of gas turbine performance, strong thermodynamic background and computer-based problem-solving skills.

DESIRED (not required) SKILLS::: Master's Degree:: Applied turbomachinery cycle design and development experience using NPSS, Viper or other 1D and 0D Multiphysics codes, transient cycle analysis and control theory.:: Familiarity with the following tools: Matlab, Python, Pearl, C, C#, Fortran, Matlab Simulink.:: Application of of systems operability and controls methodology to turbomachinery.:: Strong knowledge of gas turbine performance principals including non-dimensional corrections, shaft matching, compressor, and turbine characteristic maps, DLE and conventional combustion and secondary cooling flow accounting.
