$60 - $70 Hour Maxim Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Counselor/Mental Health Clinician (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) to provide counseling to patient’s in medical facilities, hospitals, clinics, and other organizations that are in need of assistance. Responsibilities: Provides necessary counseling as required for the patient.

Assess the patient’s psychosocial needs, and evaluate the progress with supervisor.

Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.

Focuses on assisting patient through discharge process of both in and out-patient treatment facilities as applicable.

Utilizes a variety of therapy techniques and treatment plans.

Facilitates patient progress and referrals with other agencies

Adheres to Company policies and procedures when providing services to patients

Observes and reports patient progress.

Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

Licensing/Certification according to state/facility requirement

The Counselor may possess an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major. They must have the required licensing/certification for the specific position if applicable.

Current health certificate/physical exam, as required by state regulations or client requirement specifications.

Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state/client requirement)

Minimum of one year work experience, working with patients preferred.

Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required

Computer proficiency required

Must be at least 18 years of age
