Yoh Life Sciences is looking for an experienced

Medical Device Assembler for a large pharmaceutical client in San Diego, CA! As a Medical Device Assembler, you will assemble and test electromechanical medical devices following defined instructions ensuring highest quality and on time delivery per build schedules. Effectively train assemblers. Ensure all Kanban locations are maintained.

Title: Medical Device Assembler Contract: 7 months, potential to extend Location: San Diego, CA Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm

Responsibilities:
  • Able to effectively read and follow manufacturing process instructions and routers (or travelers) Assemble Handpiece using microscopes; consisting of printed circuit board assembly, machined parts, motor, injection molded parts, etc.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical testing of Handpiece using various computer applications Assemble Charging Dock, consisting of printed circuit board assembly, injection molded parts, etc.
  • Perform packaging and labeling of Handpiece and Charging Dock.
  • Maintain Kanbans for both Handpieces and Charging Docks Ensure parts are moved to operators at point of use on a timely basis for all production lines Perform second operator inspection of Handpieces and Charging Docks Complete routers (travelers) accurately Perform decontamination and perform rework quality testing related to the process, on production by following all the procedures.
  • Complete work projects assigned in a timely manner and document work performed.
  • Able to use a computer to perform various data entries and device testing by following test procedures.
  • Must have manual dexterity and steady hands working with small hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers, torque screw drivers, work under microscope, etc.
  • Have the ability to perform repetitive tasks and willing to get cross-trained on multiple workstations is required.
  • Able to effectively communicate and assist in train other assemblers
  • Provide continuous improvement feedback related to documentation, equipment, build, and test processes
  • Able to effectively identify non-conformances during assembly and communicate to supervisor and/or manufacturing engineer.

Requirements:
  • Recent Medical Device Assembly Experience a big plus.
  • Able to use a computer to perform various data entries and device testing by following test procedures.
  • Must have sufficient skills to perform production assembly defined procedures.
  • Must follow the requirements of the employee guidebook including attendance.
  • Must have manual dexterity and steady hands working with small hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers, work under microscope, etc.
  • Must be able to read and follow manuals and work instructions.
  • Work under limited supervision from specific written or verbal procedures.
  • Coordinate and execute building of prototypes/products per engineering design and instructions.
  • Have the ability to use microscopes for long periods of time.
  • Have the ability to perform repetitive tasks and willing to get cross-trained on multiple workstations is required.
