Job Description

This position will report to the Quality Manager under Precision Technology Components, a sister Company to Chromalloy.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products.

The essential functions of this job are:

  • Performs assignments to develop, apply and maintain quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products.
  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting the quality level of products and equipment.
  • Updates relevant internal procedures and technical specifications to ensure ongoing compliance to Aerospace Regulatory Requirements.
  • Performs AS9100 internal and external audits.
  • Reviews supporting manufacturing documentation to ensure it contains the necessary criteria and provisions to permit effective inspection and testing of materials.
  • Initiates corrective action for procedural, product or process deficiencies.
  • Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.
  • Conducts quality training, internal/external auditing and revision updates to Quality Manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures and processes,
  • Use of metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality practices.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Quality/Industrial Engineering, Aviation/Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering, or related.

1-5 years’ experience in Quality, preferably Aerospace.

AS9100 Lead Auditor and Quality Certification Quality Certification (ASQ CQE) preferred

Knowledgeable in AS9100 and FAA CFR Part 21 requirements.

Knowledge of quality cost concepts, corrective & preventive actions, FMEA/DFMEA, 5D/8D, Continuous Improvement Processes & Methods, Risk Assessment tools, and defining product/process risk.

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
