Fantastic long term opportunity for a Quality Engineer to work with a leading manufacturer in San Diego.Key Responsibilities:• Participates and assists in planning, establishing and implementing quality objectives and priorities as well as promotes awareness of quality improvement for each product group as assigned• Respond to customers as needed (complaints, key account management - customer agreements, customer specifications, data analysis, etc.)• Manage SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Request) within product responsibility area• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects• Lead and/or support Management of Change (MOC) projects• Document and communicate Certification and Test Instructions pertaining to customer specific requirementsBasic Qualifications: • Bachelor degree is a plus.• Minimum of two (2) years of combined quality and/or manufacturing environment experience• Quality Engineering experience• Manufacturing experienceKnowledge of the general Quality Engineering principles, theories, and concepts. MIL-STD-45662 and IS0 9000, as well as knowledge of SPC techniques and processes are required.Volt is an equal opportunity employer.
