The ideal candidate for this position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This could be the ideal position for you, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Your responsibilities in this roleManage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation Requirements
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Microsoft Excel experience required
SOX experience desired
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Great attention to detail
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
