We develop algorithms, APIs and user experiences to govern how sensitive data is discovered, protected, used and shared. Gartner predicts (https://www.gartner.com/en/documents/3975217) the global data privacy software market is projected to grow from $1.57b in 2021 to over $17b in 2028.What you get to do in this role: Work on features that expand our existing platform and security offerings.
Participate and contribute to design discussions and decisions that will evolve our existing data privacy application offerings to meet the standards and demand of the current cloud climate.
Coordinate with company architects, infrastructure teams and various development teams to implement the platform security models protect our customers data.
Write robust, well tested, highly scalable, thread safe, well documented Java code.
Troubleshoot and address customer questions and release issues. Discover and document root cause analysis for known product defects.
Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing
To be successful in the role:Be able to design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
Good experience around analytical and design skills
Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
Collaborate with Staff developers and provide technical guidance
6+ years of experience with Java or a similar OO language
Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
Analytical and design skills
Nice to have:Experience and background in security, especially in encryption and key management is a plus but not required.
Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks and libraries like AngularJS, React and JQuery.
