Responsibilities: Experience on Enterprise-class Storage from EMCHighly demonstrable knowledge on Storage Design, Architecture, & capacity managementHighly adaptable to new technologies, high-level of monitoring, diagnostic and problem solving skills, with a keen eye for detail, and wide-ranging experience in the implementation, customization and/or support of core system componentsProvide day to day global operational activities for Storage and Backup/Recovery teams including administering storage array architecture, SAN infrastructure, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Enterprise Backup/Restore, Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) and Archival and RetrievalPerform storage provisioning / LUN expansion, managing LUN/Volume space utilization, capacity planning and reporting, reclaiming disk storage Experience administering enterprise &mid-tier storage subsystems with good hands-on experience in snapshot backups and remote storage replicationResponsible for DR replication using native storage featuresEnsure the availability and performance of storage network systems.Proven experience managing a storage environment in lights out data center operation.Fabric Management (Zoning configuration, Fabric access management, Multi-pathing, secure fabric access) Using tools like DCNM and BNA to manage switchesStorage Allocations & Zoning for Complex Cluster EnvironmentPerformance & Monitoring ManagementReplicationBackup & Restore ActivitiesDocumentation & Procedure ManagementCapacity Planning / ManagementCost recovery, capacity planning and consolidationInvestigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverabilityEnsure integrity of supported environmentLiaise with customer accounts as requiredAnalyses and resolve escalated problems within targetContribute ideas to improve operational efficiencyInteract with client through daily operation callFlexibility toward BAU and Non BAU tasksInstalling, Upgrading and configuring Backup Client in both Windows and UNIX environmentRegistering Nodes, define and associate the backup schedulerInstalling storage agent and Configuring LAN Free BackupDefining Administrative schedules like DB Backup, STGP Backup Expiration, Storage Pool Migration, Collocation and Reclamation etcMonitoring and troubleshooting the Offsite Replication activityTroubleshooting Tape Libraries, Drives, Tapes and VTLs related issuesPerform RCA on Major incidents and Proactive problem managementExcellent verbal and written skillsFlexibility in attending critical CRs during weekends and On-Call SupportDocumentation and knowledge transfer skillsShould collaborate with offshore teamManage the SLAs (CPI & KPI) for Storage and Backup area and ensure deliverables are met
