Additional, the engineer will perform requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system analysis and design, validation and verification, systems integration, system op. performance analysis, and Lifecycle cost analysis estimation in support of our customers mission. The candidate will have a strong background in system and hardware engineering support, and possess strong problem solving skills. Qualified candidates will have some Software testing experience and the ability to write comprehensive test reports. Specific responsibilities of the candidate will include:- Perform day to day monitoring of currently fielded receivers for Continuing Evaluation Program (CEP)
- Supporting VLF for communications for Navy and Air Force
- Experience with the testing, configuration and documentation of Software Systems and hardware systems
- Work in conjunction with Software Developers to develop and implement test procedures and scenarios for new and updated systems
- Participate in resolving technical issues and troubleshoot the system that may arise during integration, implementation and test
- Provide technical direction, guidance and training to less experienced staff
- Interface with management, customers and team regularly
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in related engineering, science, or mathematics field and five (5) or more years of related experience. Four (4) additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least five (5) Years' experience with VLF communications hardware.
- Must currently hold an active SECRET clearance with the ability to upgrade to a TS/SCI
- Experience with DoD VLF message processing
- DoD Background with VLF Communications
