Job Description:We are currently seeking a Transition Manager to join our team in San Diego, CA United States (US).
- Detail-oriented Program Management Individual having worked with strategic solutions providers with outstanding program management and strategic planning skills.
- Hand-picked by executive teams to deliver multi-million dollar programs; accomplished leader known and respected for leading the successful delivery of transformations and building credibility with executive teams and staff.
- Solutions driver who bridges the gap between business and technology with expertise in managing complex programs and multiple concurrent projects.
- Directs PMO teams to develop high-quality programs that solve business problems and provide tangible results for enterprise-level transformations and transitions.
- Understand the current processes, documentation available, and tools
- Identify the Subject Matter Experts from the incumbent vendor who can provide Knowledge Transition.
- Identify gaps in the current processes, documentation, and tools
- Schedule a dynamic ‘road map’ that guides the project team and the project to have successful Knowledge Transfer identifying what work needs to be completed, when and by whom; constructability issues; and key project interface
- Schedule meetings, KT sessions and monitor the progress
- Coordinate with the client for any gaps, support required and ensure that KA happens smoothly and effectively
- Provides status reports on overall project summary, work in progress, executive support, etc.
- Identify risks, mitigation, and contingency plans and put them into action
- Minimum 10 years of IT project management
- ITIL Certification
- Expertise with MS Project and MS Office suite (Excel macros and pivot tables)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong team-working skills across client, supplier, and geographically dispersed virtual teams
- Conflict management experience
