We’re looking for an outgoing, travel loving, fun and friendly assistant manager who thinks working is a hostel is their dream job! We’re opening a new hostel in the heart of the Gaslamp and are looking to build a team of people who really love hosteling and would like to be part of building a new business.
You’ll be involved in all aspects of our development, from training staff, to making bookings, doing activities, social media, housekeeping and learning on the job what it takes to open a hostel.
The owners have been in the hostel business for 10+ years and now want to make their mark in this new venture with the help of creative and committed team members who can laugh at themselves and be cool under pressure.
This is a live-in position, working mainly evenings and during the day on weekends. We can’t pay much to start but if we succeed, you succeed. We have a bonus program for ratings, occupancy and revenue goals and want to share the hostel's success with you.
Must be able to walk up stairs, stand for extended periods, inspect small items, lift arms over head, climb short ladder, communicate verbally, speak fluent English, hear, see, lift up to 40 pounds and able to use a computer.
Must be legal to work in U.S.A. Background check will be performed.
