Hello!
The Mandarin House is looking to bring on a new full time or part time Wok Cook to join the line!
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual with a desire and passion for fast paced cooking!
Kitchen experience and knife skills are required, but may be willing to train you from the ground up if you have a desire to learn and improve every day.
We are open 5 days a week and looking to add
Business / Working hours are Wednesday - Saturday:: 11am-2pm / 3:30pm-9pm - [We break from 2pm-3:30pm]
Sundays :: 3pm-9pm
We do offer Employee meals for Lunch and Dinner.
The mornings are pretty chill. We don't usually get a lot of orders and spend most of the time prepping.
Tasks to include :: Cleaning, cutting meat and veggies, marinating meats, making sauces, cooking noodles, making egg rolls and dumplings, cooking rice, restocking shelves, frying chicken and helping out wherever necessary, even if it's in the dish pit. You must be physically able to do all these jobs as well as lift 50lbs unassisted. We all work as a team here.
As far as Wok cook goes, we cook on Woks. Looking for somebody with a passion for making good food. If you have Wok experience, Call me right now. But if you don't and have a desire to learn, it's really a fun way of cooking. It's fast paced and very flow generating. There's really a beautiful art to it that is fun to learn yet hard to master. We will train the right person, but you should definitely have some type of cooking experience.
We've got a nice good crew here right now. Everybody works well together, but are looking to add to the team. If you're looking for a nice, fair and laid back (So long as you do your work) kitchen environment, give me a ring. Lets chat
