We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that the food is of high quality, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Looking for someone to work 2 mornings a week 9am-4pm, and maybe one or two evenings a week as well.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
Ensure that all food is of high quality and meets our standards
Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to management
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cook
Excellent culinary skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience:
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
Working Conditions:
The Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for extended periods of time and working with hot equipment and sharp knives. The position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
