We need your help to locate lost or stolen Bikes! The Recovery Agent will utilize our custom built Mobile application, GPS dashboards and other online tools to find bikes.
Wheels is looking to hire multiple asset recovery agents in the San Diego region. The Asset Recovery Agent is primarily responsible for preventing loss caused by theft and vandalism of our Bikes. The agent will actively contribute in shrink reduction in field by recovering assets and deterring external theft and/or vandalism.
Agents must be able to demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Asset Recovery Agents will take complex investigations head-on in the field by establishing relations with the public and local businesses while using cutting edge technology to identify and deter theft and/or vandalism.
Job Requirements:
Patrol the city to deter theft or vandalism
Confront public and customers that appear to be violating the company terms of agreement and usage, while recovering the asset in question.
Have the knowledge of when and how to call local law enforcement when needed.
Have the ability to talk to aggressive individuals and remain calm and professional, yet stern enough to recover the asset.
The ability to study body language and verbal cues to understand one's honesty and threat level.
The ability to determine possible loss threats from observations in the immediate area of question.
The ability to make quick effective decisions to minimize company loss and prevent personal injury.
Write detailed reports as needed according to company standard.
Identify potential acts of internal dishonesty through exception reporting, behavior observation and internal referrals.
Will utilize a personal vehicle to obtain and transport company assets.
Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent GED; Some college is desirable
2+ years of experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Recovery
Or 2+ years of experience as a Repossession Agent
1+ years of Experience using Excel and Word Documents
Personal Vehicle; Truck or SUV preferred with Insurance
Personal Laptop and a WIFI connection (most phones have)
Must pass a background test
Additional Requirements:
Must be comfortable with using a laptop computer and established software to investigate reports.
Ability to think and act clearly in possible stressful and hostile situations.
Must be able to communicate in a courteous manner, demonstrating diplomacy, tact and firmness (when necessary).
Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have good time management skills.
Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team
Must possess a strong sense of urgency.
