Position Overview
Avoya Travel is currently seeking a highly motivated Sr. Back-End Engineer who is excited about our vision and will help us to build and bring it to fruition from planning to implementation. This individual will be knowledgeable in the entire stack and understand data flow from database to API to client. Proficient in working on modern frameworks and codebases to build the backbone of dynamic web applications; The Sr. Back-End Engineer will be passionate about code and development efficiency, optimization, meaningful documentation and testing.

What You’ll Be Doing…
- Help steer tech innovation and be an advocate for development best practices and application optimization
- Bring products to fruition from planning to implementation
- Foster the skills of other developers on the development team
- Collaborate with other engineers to get the job done
Sound Like A Good Fit? What It Takes To Be Successful…
- 3-5 years minimum experience as a back-end developer
- Proficient in modern back-end frameworks and languages
- Can demonstrate ability to build efficient, standards-based APIs
- Experience with PHP/Laravel, Lucee/ColdBox or other similar back-end frameworks a plus
- Strong understanding of data and server security best practices
- Proficiency in version control and build processes
- Experience with Gitlab and Docker a plus
- A BA or greater degree in CS or related fields or equal experience
