The highlights of the position are: Job Title: Email Marketing Specialist Location: San Diego, CA – onsite candidates preferred Duration: 09+ Months Contract Job Description: Client has an opportunity for an Email Marketing Specialist to support the Manager of Customer Marketing. The Email Marketing specialist will operate in a fast-paced environment to code, script, format responsive email marketing campaigns. With extreme attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance and deadlines, this role will update links, creative and copy to meet shifting business needs. Activities include:- Building out emails using HTML, CSS, VML
- Fielding and prioritizing update requests from internal clients
- Updating links, creative, subject lines and copy in existing email templates
- Resizing images and other email design elements to optimize
- Simple copy writing
- Testing and troubleshooting to ensure all email elements and dynamic content are rendering correctly
- Trafficking creative and managing approvals
- Working in close coordination with the eCommerce technical team and product merchants
- Adding new content zones to templated email campaigns
- Support the creation and approvals of campaign briefs and reporting as needed
- 1-2 years of email campaign development experience
- Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Extreme attention to detail and commitment to deadlines
- Basic graphic design skills
- Experience with copywriting and editing
- Solid grasp of automated marketing operations
- Hands-on use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
