SaaS Start Up Needs a Creative DesignerSTAT! (San Diego)

California, San diego 00000 San diego USA

Vacancy expired!

Hello! We're Sendlane. A small-ish tech startup in Scripps Ranch disrupting an entire industry with our forward-thinking approach to how marketing automation should be.

Founded in 2013 and officially established in 2015, we've been working like mad to be the best. But to be the best, we have to employ the best. That's where you come in. Yes, you. :)

Listen, we get it. Job hunting is 100% THE worst. So, we're happy to tell you the search is over! You did it! You finally found the company of your dreams. Go ahead and give your boss "the finger", flip your desk, knock over your cubicle and march your happy self on over to Sendlane HQ! Just kiddingwe have to invite you. Please don't just show up. Anyway, we are on the hunt for a Creative Designer!

In this cross-functional role, you’ll be part of our growing Marketing team. Your main priority will be optimizing our brand by creating and implementing synergistic visuals and content that align with our vision for our corp site, blog, marketing and advertising efforts. Not only are you designing these elements but you’re implementing them using our tools like Webflow. Since your main focus is on the user experience, you should know our ideal customer profile and design our content in ways that drive conversation and nurture our reputation.

To be successful in this position, you must have at least 3-5 years of working experience with all or most of the following: Responsive Web Design, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Abstract and Webflow. If you’ve worked in a B2B or SaaS environment, that is a TOTAL plus. Likewise, if you have experience with Webflow, you are immediately at the top of our list.

You obviously need to have an eye for layout, color theory, typography and various design styles but you absolutely need to be able to create website design guidelines, standards and best practices.

Taking little instruction and bringing the vision to life will be your North Star (truly, you can expect to receive silly scribbles on a notepad). But don't worry, you won't be an island. Our Marketing Team is a small group of seriously creative people who want and encourage collaboration, so you'll always have a direction and vision assigned before getting thrown into any project.

Speaking of collaboration, that’s a HUGE part of this job. We will always rely on you as the expert of your craft, but never expect to make executive decisions because that’s not how we operate! A true ability to work with others whose opinions and visions might differ from your own is imperative. Collaboration doesn’t mean we don’t trust you. It's just the only way we believe our company will ever continue to succeed. We believe it takes a village. (This is also a nod to ego. Leave it at home, kid!)

What's most important to us is that you're a team player with flexibility and an understanding that feedback isn't personal.

Sound like a fit so far? Excellent news!

Well, now that that’s established, here’s the bulleted skinny on the job, your core responsibilities and your day-to-day:

- Must be comfortable using a Mac

- Collaborate with the CEO and Head of Marketing to optimize our brand.

- Collaborate with our Development team, in-house and abroad to implement your creatives.

- Either have experience with or be willing to quickly master Webflow.

- Create and implement synergistic visuals for our corp site, blog, marketing and advertising efforts, focusing on the user experience.

- Confidently create website design guidelines, standards and best practices

- Incorporate new functionalities, enhancements and features into the website and understand how to measure improvements

- Utilize Webflow, Adobe Creative Suite, Abstract and Sketch on a daily basis.

- Be able to meet aggressive deadlines.

- Have the wherewithal to bring ideas to the table but also bring someone else's idea to life (i.e. look at something poorly created in Paint or scribbling on a notepad and turn it into something awesome)

Keep in mind: we are a start-up which means that your day to day is not usually the same. As we continue to grow, we find ourselves having to pivot quickly!

If all this hasn’t scared you away yet, then let's talk about what’s in it for you!

We strive to ensure that our employees have the best experience possible (while still remembering that you are at your job). Here are the benefits we offer:

- Health/Dental/Vision - 80% to 100% paid for by us

- 401k - We match up to 4%

- Unlimited PTO

- Flex Fridays (work remotely!)

- Company-provided Macbook for use throughout your employment

- Standing desks (optional)

- Catered lunches and monthly team building

- Ping pong and shuffleboard

- Fully stocked break room (Coffee, sodas, and snacks galore!)

- Comfy spinny computer chair with 18 adjustment points

Anyway, if all this sounds like your cup of tea then head on over to sendlane.com/careers and APPLY!

We look forward to hearing from you!
