SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Management Department of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.ResponsibilitiesYou will advise others on the interpretation of laws, regulations, policies, or guidelines related to government budgets or finances.You will analyze and review financial reports to regulate funding levels throughout the year.You will brief managers on the status of financial work efforts.You will prepare briefs regarding financial management system issues for senior managers.You will plan work schedules, deadlines, and standards for acceptable levels of financial, accounting, or budgeting work.You will analyze recurring problems with funds management to recommend solutions.You will apply extensive data analytic skills and the ability to analyze, review and interpret financial execution data, and resolve variances.You will analyze the examination, verification, validation, and reconciliation of fiscal accounts, utilizing Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS), Command Financial Management System (CFMS), or another DoD financial system.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervising/Leading others in researching, analyzing, and applying accounting, budgeting, and financial policies, regulations and guidelines; 2) Presenting briefings, metrics, and providing financial advice and recommendations to customers and senior managers; 3) Identifying and resolving critical resource problems by providing advice, guidance, assistance and direct support to a Command and it's components; and 4) Developing, implementing, and maintaining standard operational procedures (SOPs) and standard guidance for financial management processes in accordance with FMR/FIAR requirements.
