About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer in Order Platform Team at Uber, you'll be working in a space that's closest to the business. You will contribute to Architecture/Design and bring long term strategy/vision to platform areas. You will be writing scalable, reliable and maintainable Next-Gen platform which is capable of scaling millions of transactions over years to come.

What You Will Do

Lead Design and Architecture of Order Platform team
Hands-on high quality coding
Fix Production issues / Drive Outages

Basic Qualifications

12+ years of experience with systems software engineering. Sound understanding of computer architecture and CS fundamentals.
Proficient in one of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Go, Python, C/C.
Detailed problem-solving approach and knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
5+ year of experience in building large scale platform/product or data systems
Grit, drive and a strong feeling of ownership coupled with collaboration.
BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Backend System Design
Experience handling complex problems at scale
Experience writing backend code
