Job Title : API Integration ConsultantLocation : San Francisco, CADuration :6+ MonthsDuties: We are growing the API Integrations team and looking for an API Integration Consultant. Our ideal candidate is someone who is fluent in English, and can provide first level technical support, both internally, to the Airbnb team, and externally to our API partners. This is a cross-functional role; you'll work with Software Engineering, Product, Sales, Operations and Customer Support to deliver first class technical support for our partner community.Our API documentation will be your source of truth, though you will also maintain a knowledge base of FAQs and areas where the documentation can be improved. Knowledge of JSON and XML is required; experience in REST APIs is preferred. We're hoping to find a self-motivated candidate who feels comfortable executing the work plan and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. If you are solutions based, and can explain technical issues in layman's terms, we'd like to meet you.ResponsibilitiesServes as technical point of contact for internal teamsWork directly with partners to provide in depth technical analysis and clever solutions to API challengesOwns support tickets with appropriate levels of follow up, and determines the appropriate escalation pathDocument and share best practices, and be the API subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholdersStay up-to-date with new features and product launchesOwn and improve the API documentation, Guides and FAQs

Candidate needs to be able to be close to an office if/ when offices open back up in 2022.Skills:2+ years experience in a similar technical consultant role supporting enterprise clientsTechnical writing experience (experience writing documentation, SOPs)doesnt need to have held a technical writing position but just needs exposure

Proficiency in JSON and XMLKnowledge of SQLExperience working with ticketing system, such as Salesforce, Zendesk and JiraGreat communication skills, both written and verbalBe comfortable talking about technical concepts, and explaining how our API worksEmpathize with users of all experience levels and see through their questions to quickly grasp the issues they're facingAbility to embrace the adventure, embracing change amidst shifting prioritiesAbility to write conceptual guides, code references, and interactive tutorials for a developer audience is a plus
