Project Overview:

Our projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while making it all happen. As a Program Manager, you manage complex, multidisciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal partners and usher projects through the entire project life cycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders and the team. Your projects often span teams, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Day-today management of publishing production activities for bringing new editorial content and cross-functional promotion opportunities to about.google
  • Work directly with the About marketing team, agency partners and internal cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistency and clear communication of publishing requests, timelines and updates
  • Own production tracker and publishing calendar for content on About
  • Work directly with cross-functional partners to communicate About goals and publishing processes as park of inbound support
  • Support About marketing team in assessing inbound opportunities and provide clear updates to cross-functional teams, as needed
  • Track budget and resourcing for agency support
  • Own the daily status and understanding of publishing workstreams
Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory

BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience) 5 years of experience with creative program/project management/production experience working in highly creative and/or publishing environments as well as experience working with strategy, ability to define projects, execute within timelines, with multiple stakeholders and proven ability to deliver projects on time and to budget 5+ years of experience with experience in digital and on integrated projects/campaigns Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management Ability to build and maintain constructive working and communications relationships with a diverse community of technical and nontechnical audiences strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, highly detail-oriented and organizational skills Experience working with agencies and vendors

responsibilities:

  • Project manage all inbound and existing requests to publish storytelling content on about.google, educating/onboarding teams on the production process and stakeholder approval processes.
  • Connect teams with creative agency partners, copy editors and translators to support their publishing goals, ensuring budgets and resources are in place.
  • Support the About brand marketing team in developing and implementing new processes to improve the publishing team's operations.
