As part of The Federal Reserve Financial Services, FedCash Services provides national operational mentorship and technology strategies for U.S. currency and coin supplied to depository institutions by the 12 Federal Reserve Banks. As a Business Systems Specialist you will work as a Product Owner in a Scaled Agile framework and conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. You may also prepare functional, system and program specifications and assist in implementation of systems, as well as participate in System projects and/or workgroups.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
  • Help implements the Product Manager's vision.
  • Responsible for breaking down application features into user stories, collecting non-functional specifications, and catching test acceptance criteria.
  • Communicate with both technical and business team members to understand requirements and translate into technical specification when required.
  • Utilize your experience and knowledge of software development and software architecture best-practices to assist the development team during the execution phase of the project.
  • May assist in the analysis of defects and improvements to resolve severity and priority as well as overall validity.
  • May be needed to support application improvement with enabler stories.
  • May be encouraged to chip in with analysis on risks, dependencies, issues, and schedule updates as needed.
  • Add to the elaboration and advancement of the roles and responsibilities for this position, identifying process improvements and sharing with your peers.
  • Present working software to partners at team, potentially system and demos.
  • Help us ensure that activities are completed in accordance with applicable Federal Reserve standards, such as Technology Project Standards (TPS) and Application Development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or any technical related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related business analyst experience.
  • Ability to bridge the business/IT divide in a way that establishes rapport and gains understanding.
  • Possess a solid grasp of business requirement development and assessments including use cases, functional specifications, user interface specifications, etc.
  • Concluded ability to work diligently without direct supervision, address issues with creativity, and generate ideas that chip in to the fulfillment of stated goals.
  • Highly adept oral and written communication skills.
  • Dynamic fix and analytical skills. Ability to logically analyze intricate problems to identify areas of improvement in support of the overall technology strategy.
  • Positive relationship, leadership, critical thinking, multitasking, and time leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence efficiently in a highly matrix or virtual organization.
  • U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen required.

Preferred Skills:
  • Agile, Scaled Agile, and/or Product Owner experience.
