JOB PURPOSEMaintains and originates small business loans and deposits through partnership with commercial and retail sides of the bank. CBCs and other bank partners will refer small business lending customers to the "Small Business Solutions Manager" to determine needs and originate and act as customer point of contact for small business credits over $50,000 up to $1MM.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain existing book of small business accounts, and develop revenue-generating small business client relationships by handling small business referrals from other partners in the bank.

Focus on the retention of assigned portfolios, expansion of existing relationships and addition of new relationships.

Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of small business products and services as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products. Proactively promotes and cross markets all bank products and services, including cash management/treasury services.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of client's needs, based on the review and analysis of personal and small business financial data gathered through meetings and relationship reviews.

Perform small business loan renewals for loans from $50,000 to $1MM

Assist with centralized portfolio management actions as needed.

Perform outbound telephone calling to targeted and/or assigned small business prospects and customers. Targets shall include businesses with less than 51 million in annual revenue.

Expectations will include productive out-bound calls to a minimum number of both clients and prospects each week. Such calling efforts are to be supported by pre-call planning and research.

Partner consistently with internal business partners to uncover opportunities to attract new or deepen client relationships.

Participates with community organizations and CBCs to maximize networking and relationship building opportunities in local markets.

Participates with management to plan business development opportunities (online and in-market).

Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.

Valid Driver's License required.

5-8 years of relevant retail banking experience or equivalent required.

Up to 5 years of relevant commercial or small business lending experience required.

Proven strong relationship management abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong sales skills and credit analysis skills.

Experience managing and developing relationships and ability to build those relationships.

Extensive knowledge of and experience in cash management/treasury management services and solutions.

Advanced knowledge of small business and other credit products and services that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to offer the Bank's products.

Proven track record of success and skills in developing new clients and business, including prospecting, sourcing and networking.

Advanced knowledge of business credit policies, procedures, practices, documentation and structuring small business credits, including accounting, financial statement and cash flow analysis.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Proficient with personal computer and related software packages such as Word and Excel and loan origination systems.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Office environment no specific or unusual physical demands. Maybe exposed to weather when visiting customer sites.

Occasional travel.
