Description Robert Half has a fantastic, career-building opportunity for a skilled Controller. This is a very dynamic and high profile area with significant visibility at executive management level. In this Controller role, your responsibilities will include managing the process to ensure that models are correct and are fully accrued each month, verifying and holding operations team accountable that end to end incentive processing, payments, accounting, and related financial controls are operating effectively. The Controller position is located in San Francisco, California and is on a long-term contract / temporary basis.How you will make an impactSecure an understanding of key financial results and movements across programs to summarize and discuss with key business partners
Attain a thorough understanding of essential financial results and movements across programs, then be able to summarize and discuss them with key business partners
Perpetual reviewing of actual spend against budget, as well as leading necessary actions needed for any expected shortfalls
Direct budgeting, reporting, and forecasting processes and tools for all accountable programsReview and monitor controls to ensure they are designed and operating effectively in partnership with compliance
Work closely with Treasury to provide timely cash flow forecasts
Assemble evidence and qualitative discussion of monthly financial results across global programs to support SOX controls
Collaborate with various business partners for a variety of program controllership and FP& A activities such as upholding accurate accrual models and appropriate accounting, as well as true-up activities. Also answer queries from business, area and subsidiary controllers Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field
CPA and/or CMA preferred
Skills to assess process and internal control weaknesses and identify improvements
Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
Professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance
Excellent efficiency in office and accounting computer systems
Experience engaging with teams and providing leadership across finance teams
Highly skilled at communication and negotiation with prior experience creating trusted advisor/consultant relationships and influencing Executives and Business Decision Makers
Comprehension of ERP system offerings is preferred
Foundational knowledge in Day-To-Day Management
Proficiency in GAAP Accounting
Expertise in Prepare Financial Reports
Comprehensive knowledge of Prepare Financial Statements
