Our client, a household name in retail, fashion and apparel is hiring for an Instructional Designer to join their team that utilizes their gross domestic product software system. This system holds information on the monetary and market value of all the finished goods and services produced within the US and the software team that develops for this system has been making a lot of migration and feature enhancements to this system that is widely used.
As an Instructional Designer on this team, you will design and create instructional content that for users that use and interact with this platform daily to support training and adoption post system changes.Responsibilities:- Conduct analysis to determine learning and performance objectives and scalable instructional strategies and solutions
- Design and develop blended learning curriculums, job aids, software simulations and assessment tools to enable learning of new technology initiatives and solutions
- Serve as subject matter expert in development trends, training tools, and platforms while continuously exploring new and innovative approaches
- Collaborate with Change Management, Product Management, and the Business to understand training requirements and obtain training material sign-off
- Leverage existing and develop new templates for training design and development
- Translate process and systems documentation into training materials and learning experiences
- Coordinate with localization team to ensure all training content in translated into required languages, as needed
- Collaborate with Change Management, Product Management, and the Business to inform training content and obtain training material sign-off
- 5+ years instructional design experience focused on digital and blended learning
- Demonstrated expertise in effective instructional design methodologies and designing and developing learning programs to enable new technology in an Agile environment; retail experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in mixed learning and content creation in 2 or more areas: PowerPoint, Rise, Articulate 360, etc.
- Experience with voice overs and video creation a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and quality
- Proven experience building strong internal relationships
- Natural curiosity, especially about technology
