Internal Communications Associate, Autodesk ResearchLocation:San Francisco, CA - United StatesJob ID:19WD33674Position OverviewWe are looking for an exceptional internal communications professional to communicate with our employees in the Research division. This person will help develop new means of connecting with employees and driving Autodesk culture and values in our group, including developing messaging, employee events, presentations, video communications, and assist with all-hands meetings and leadership communications. These communications help inspire and drive our teams within the organization. They help clarify organizational priorities and project how we want our teams to operate in ways that reflect our culture and values.The role will work within the executive communications team and partner closely with leaders in Autodesk Research, as well as leverage relationships with other teams to ensure that our approach to internal communications is consistent, mission-driven, and uniquely Autodesk. Candidates should be strategic and creative thinkers, exceptional writers, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious, and should have some experience with engineering teams within global corporate environments.Responsibilities
Keep the organization informed, aligned, and inspired
Develop and drive proactive communications efforts, programming, and events around the division s charter, major initiatives, and products
Possess an understanding of technology and software products
Drive proactive and reactive communications internally
Build partnerships with key internal stakeholders
Build partnerships with other corporate communicators to develop internal communications in advance of major company initiatives and announcements
Minimum Qualifications
4-7 years of experience in corporate employee communications or related field
Exceptional editorial, writing, copy-editing and project management skills
Significant experience blending traditional internal communications tactics with new media, including enterprise collaboration and social platforms
Expert at translating internal news and information into accessible, engaging and easy-to-understand language that resonates with employees
Strong project management skills; attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deliverables at the same time
Strong combination of strategic acumen and hands-on orientation; willingness to roll up sleeves and get the work done
Ability to communicate effectively and at all levels in a global organization and build and nurture cross-functional relationships and partnerships
Ability to influence without authority, across functions, geographies and levels
Ability to be flexible, pro-active, work under deadlines, and ensure quality and accuracy
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and also work collaboratively on a team
Understanding of Autodesk s business and industries and experience in technical production operations or engineering a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Slack, PowerPoint, Photoshop, HTML and SharePoint
Four-year college degree (BS or BA), preferably in English, communications, journalism, public relations or marketing Advanced degree preferred
