Job Description:Resource will be performing application testing for accessibility design & development groups on mobile applications to ensure compliance with WCAG (web content accessibility guidelines)DUTIES- Actively use mobile devices to test accessibility on mobile applications to ensure usability for customers with sight, hearing, of physical disabilities- Ensure all applications meet WCAG standards- Perform Quality Control functions to ensure coding from Aria is correct- Record how applications interact with screen readers and color contrast analyzers and note findings- Demonstrate how accessibility functions should interact with end users and log defects as foundTOP SKILLS- Strong to expert level knowledge of WCAG (version 2.0 & 2.1) guidelines for A & AA- Ability to convey issues to developers and technical partners verbally and in writing to include use of ARIA for web technologies such as HTML and mobile platforms- Strong understanding of accessibility on mobile devices (Android, iPhone, Windows tablets, and iPads )- Agile experienceSOFTWARE- WAVE – points out where accessibility issues are- JAWS & NVDA - Screen readers- Color contrast analyzersREQUIRED EXPERIENCE- 6+ years of experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, 2.1
- 6+ years of experience as part of an in-house development team or design agency consulting to Fortune 500
- Expert level using a defect tracking tool such as JIRA
- Expert level user of various assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, or TalkBack
- Experience using accessibility testing tools such as AMP (Accessibility Management Platform), Continuum, Wave and V-PAT.
- Ability to convey issues to developers and technical partners verbally and in writing to include use of ARIA for web technologies such as HTML and mobile platforms
- IAAP WAS Certified (nice but not required)
Educational Qualifications:- Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
- Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent
Travel:- Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement
