Responsibilities: Coordinate Maintenance activities of radio system and Microwave P2P Systems Maintain appropriate FCC license requirements to remain in compliance with local, state and federal policies and procedures. Manage and coordinate the activities of the IT Radio division. Assign work responsibilities, review open projects and review requests from customers.Skills: Methods, practices, and equipment used in 800 Mhz radio & Microwave systems; installation and maintenance of radio hardware and software. Working knowledge of trunked radio system hardware, software, programming and maintenance. Comprehensive knowledge of 700/ 800 Mhz radio systems. Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience on Microwave Link deployment support, remote integration, link configuration, service provisioning, service migration for a telco or Enterprise grade network (NEC/ Ceragon/ Nokia) Extensive knowledge of VHF, UHF, 700/800 MHz frequencies and electronics, telecommunications and data networking. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse employee groups. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop professional end user and operations documentation. Should Posses NERC CIP Qualifications/ Certificate General knowledge of the system elements associated with this network, such as LAN/WAN, trunked radio systems, digital microwave networks, packet networks, cross-connect equipment, other controllers and switches, hubs, routers, servers etc. Should have good experience as Level 1 NOC Operation, troubleshooting, incident management for 800Mhz and Microwave Network Oversee and maintain the inventory of the IT Radio division.i. Monitors Tower Beacon Flasher and Tower Side Light alarms, and reports outages to TCOM and Transmission Field teams for repair.ii. Creates, extends, and closes NOTAMs (Notice to Airman) with the FAA as required until tower light issue is resolved iii. Manages Tower Light monitoring for both TCOM and Transmission towers across customer Network Ability to utilize monitoring systems to analyze data, format and report as required. Would like at least 3 years of experience maintaining two-way radio and/or microwave radio equipment or experience functioning in a network management/network control position. Knowledge and/or training is desired in various communications technologies such as LAN/WAN, trunked radio systems, digital microwave systems, network protocols and equipment, etc. Must have knowledge of problem diagnosis, resolution, and communications solutions necessary to maintain and enhance network operation, availability, and reliability. Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner with all levels of personnel, so that necessary maintenance and upgrade activities can be coordinated effectively and widely understood.
