Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.Summary: Facebook is looking for an experienced professional to work on our Privacy & Data Policy team. The team's mission is to develop privacy-protective and innovative approaches to data that help bring the world closer together and improve people's lives. In this role, you'll help the company promote privacy in the context of our partnerships with third-party app developers. In particular, this role will focus on working with investigations and enforcement teams across the company to ensure our app developer partners and other third parties using our services are complying with our applicable terms and policies governing data collection and use.The role may also include engagement with the app developer community and other industry groups on best practices for ensuring that data can be used for economic and social good while also protecting privacy. As a Privacy and Data Policy Manager, Partnerships you'll be an expert on Facebook’s third party data policies, you’ll also support our global teams through education and help answer any questions they or our partners may have to help ensure partners respect the data that people entrust to us.The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, a good team player, and creative problem solver that is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. This candidate will be deeply familiar with policy counseling and have a meaningful understanding of privacy and Internet technologies. And the candidate will be passionate about the services Facebook provides and the people that we serve.The role is global and will be based in Menlo Park, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Washington, DC.Required Skills:

Focus on working with the many teams across the company responsible for investigating and enforcing our terms and policies governing third party data collection and use

Work with software developers, designers, lawyers, product managers, and others to help interdisciplinary teams simultaneously address policy, legal, engineering, user interface, business, marketing and other privacy requirements in the context of investigations and enforcement

Serve as an effective manager for Facebook regarding privacy issues, including in external meetings and conferences — particularly around how to develop greater responsibility and accountability in the app developer ecosystem

Build consensus around innovative solutions to privacy in new technologies and contexts

Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of experience with counseling clients around product development or privacy, data security, or technology policy issues

Knowledge of privacy legislative and policy frameworks

Experience managing cross-functional projects and prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects

Communication experience and collaborative work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

JD, MPP, or technical degree

Experience with privacy issues related to data sharing with third parties

Investigation and policy enforcement experience
