Title: Program Manager, SeniorDuration: 04/28/2021 to 07/27/2021Location: San Francisco, CADescription:1) Good project management skills2) Some clean technology experience3) Familiarity with pilots.Position SummaryResponsibilitiesClient Senior VGI Product Manager position focuses on shaping and managing pre-commercial VGI pilots, emerging technology demonstrations and studies seeking to identify and remove barriers for the integration of electric vehicles into the electrical grid, This work will follow requirements that arise from regulatory proceedings at CPUC and CEC and encompasses cross-industry coordination, pilot scoping, budgeting, tracking and reporting, as well as regulatory support. . The product manager will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis that helps inform Client grid innovation and energy procurement strategies. Part of this effort will be to inform different business units within Client and external stakeholders. . The product manager will conduct market intelligence activities and monitor the electric vehicle market for advances in technology, pricing and product offerings.Specifically, the Product Manager will be responsible for:VGI Demonstration and Pilot Programs:Responsible for managing Client VGI emerging technology programResponsible for the VGI metrics reporting process and VGI reportSupports development and management of VGI piloting activity (e.g. VGI demonstrations, pilots and interim studies) ) which includes defining scope of work, estimating budget, managing deliverables and schedule, reporting.VGI Policy:Responsible for contributing to SB 676-related work including requirements in CPUC's VGI Strategy (D. 20-12-029) implementation.Support further VGI regulatory activities as VGI policies and regulation continues to be developed and deployed (e.g. define metrics, determining reporting mechanisms)VGI Strategy and Analytics:Responsible for supporting the development and ongoing use of the analytical tools to help inform Client internal VGI strategy including:VGI Use Case Valuation ModelVGI Cost-Effectiveness Evaluation ModelsSupports development and ongoing analysis on VGI Market Size and Capacity ForecastThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage research projects, apply analytical tools, methodologies, and frameworks to business or policy issues. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication skills in executive and regulatory settings.QualificationsMinimum:Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Business, Economics, Marketing, Psychology, or related or equivalent experience.6+ years of related experience or equivalentProven track record in Regulatory Relations, Finance, or other relevant department.Desired:Master's degree in business, engineering, or related fieldStrong drive for results and continuous improvementStrong verbal / written communication and presentation skillsProficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and MS ProjectAbility to work in a matrixed environment and a positive, execution oriented mentalityAbility to be creative, versatile, efficient and productive in the face of ambiguityTechnical understanding of overall electric grid design and operationsStrong knowledge of Distribution system design and operationsUtility experience and/or project development experiencePrior experience with energy storage technologies, use cases and operational capabilitiesUnderstanding of VGI technologies, use cases and operation capabilities
