As Visa continues to innovate and evolve in order to meet the dynamic needs of a complex global financial ecosystem, we are developing Open VisaNet (“OVN”), the next generation payments platform that will build on VisaNet’s success. This will include a modern architecture, core enhancements, increased transparency, and human-centered design principles to adapt to the unique requirements of commerce in today’s world. Responsibilities The Senior Manager, OVN Product Strategy will be a key leader of the Global Product Strategy team. This team plays a key role in designing, building, and managing Open VisaNet, the next generation of VisaNet. The team works closely with multiple functions, including Global and Regional partners in Product, Technology, Client Services, Marketing and Communications. OVN is one of the most impactful changes to Visa’s core processing systems undertaken in over a decade. As such, Product Strategy is responsible for the design and execution of an aggressive roadmap. Specific Responsibilities Include Work with the team’s Marketing partners and Communications partners to build and deliver an effective Go-to-Market plan for OVN Ownership, workstream lead,etc. Understand key market trends, competition, and user requirements, specifically in service to OVN, Visa’s core processing capabilities, and Visa’s related Value Added Services Support the development and execution of all stakeholder communication, in partnership with the PMO team and project management, including senior management. Support the development of the product strategy and product design documents (e.g. OVN pilot use cases, product requirements) Support the development of the product roadmap to define/support the product goals and strategies Become knowledgeable on the core capabilities of VisaNet, including, but not limited to Authorization, Clearing, and Settlement functionality, and support the Product Strategy team in driving the development of product features and functionality, leveraging the strong foundation of existing capabilities where appropriate. Distill market research to provide perspective to the team and product management leaders to inform insights and decisions Collaborate closely with internal Visa teams (e.g., regional and Global Product teams, Technology, Client Services, Risk, Visa Business Solutions) Frame and conduct analyses and research needed to support the Global Product Strategy key initiatives, including as part of the annual plan process Develop clear and concise executive level communications This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both home and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week, Monday (Sunday in some countries where Sunday is the start of the week) and Wednesdays. Wednesdays are designated as in-office collaboration days. The third day in the office will be decided based on team needs and determined in partnership with senior leadership. Basic Qualifications 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications Typically requires 8+ years total experience including 4+ years experience in Technology, Payments, with a focus on Product Management and/or Marketing Superior analytic and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated analytic rigor and attention to detail Ability to lead and manage complex projects independently, across multiple workstreams, and to manage processes across a matrixed organization at all levels Eagerness to work in teams with colleagues of all levels to accomplish project objectives Personal, executive presence and ability to communicate compelling messages clearly and succinctly to senior level executives, excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities Strong interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills, team player Payments industry experience, including familiarity with complex payments systems (e.g. various card schemes, ACH, RTP, digital wallets) a plus, but not required Marketing experience a plus, but not required MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience a plus Visa has adopted a COVID-19 vaccination policy to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees and visitors.
