In this role, you will be responsible for developing the CMDB schema, update scripts, and integrations based on design from a CMDB solution specialist and broader IT needs. As these processes are standardized and streamlined, you will work within the Confguration Control team to carry out the technical changes required to support the Common Services Data Model (CSDM) as well. Finally, you will coordinate the development lifecycle for changes with the ServiceNow platform team.
- Develop and modify the CMDB table and schema structure to accommodate discovery results and requirements from multiple intake sources
- Write and implement update scripts on CMDB data to apply rule-based validations where possible
- Apply the Common Services Data Model Framework to develop service model within the CMDB
- Coordinate promotion of changes across Dev-Test-Prod environments with platform team
- Develop and deploy integrations for systems of reference that provide intake data for the CMDB using Integration Hub, REST APIs, or the ServiceNow IRE
- Manage UI Elements within the CMDB
- Develop business rules against data within the CMDB
- CMDB administration and technical development
- ServiceNow Update Scripting Language - JSON Scripting
- SerivceNow REST API, SN IntegrationHub ETL
- Data modeling & processing Excel, PowerQuery, or SQL
- 5+ Years working with ServiceNow Administration
- 3+ years of experience developing or maintaining ServiceNow CMDB
- Working knowledge of REST APIs or the SN Integration Hub
- Proficiency in developing succinct, efficient code
- Bachelor's degree or greater in computer engineering or related technical field
