Our Bank is responsible for satisfying fluctuating demand for currency and coin throughout the nine western states that we serve. This responsibility resides with our five cash offices that provide core cash operations. Our cash offices rely on Cash Support to provide innovative solutions, data analytics, project management support, business continuity preparedness, compliance, communications, and budget analysis. This support is achieved through Cash Support's Innovation + Data Analytics and Operations teams.

NextGen is a multi-phase program to replace the current Banknote Processing System (BPS) 3000 fleet withnew high-speed currency processing equipment, sensors, and software. This position will work directly with NextGen Inventory Management workgroup to model currency order and deposit demand for depository institutions , inventory needs by denomination , and processing capacity for the 28 Federal Reserve offices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collect, model, analyze, and interpret currency trends ; identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate impacts . Develop a five-year model to meet currency demand needs for the 28 Federal Reserve offices. Prepare and present analyses and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong critical thinking skills with a confirmed ability to synthesize diverse ideas and draw logical conclusions applying a consistent and reliable decision-making framework
  • Strong verbal and written communication and data visualization skills, excellent presentation skills, significant experience representing positions and perspectives to internal and external audiences

  • The successful candidate will be excellent in the areas of interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, collaboration, and consensus building skills, personal initiative, time management, project management and problem solving
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft office suite to include MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency
  • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in aU.S. college or university program; and
  • Available to work in a hybrid work environment
  • Ability to work 40 hours week throughout the duration of theapproximately10-week internship program.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Expertise in data visualization software tools such as Tableau or Power BI
