Site Reliability Engineer

Huxley is partnered with a leading physical security firm in the San Francisco Bay area looking to hire several SRE's to their team.

Their SRE's deliver a stable and secure infrastructure for their engineers. Over the last year, they rolled out Terraform, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD to 100% of their infrastructure and redefined how they manage AWS.

You'd be a member of a small platform team dedicated to infrastructure. You'd build, monitor, and scale the infrastructure using third-party tools or designing your own. Example projects include optimizing the cluster cost efficiency, rolling out per-pod security groups, improving monitoring and alerting, and adopting a service mesh.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelors - ideally in Computer Science.
  • 2-3+ years of work experience in Production, Platform, Site Reliability, or DevOps Engineering.
  • Ability to write code in an object-oriented programming language - ideally Python or C.
  • Proficiency in AWS, and in utilizing Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Preferred experience with ArgoCD, service mesh, and Kubernetes controllers.
The role is full-time, direct-hire. This is an on-site role with the company in San Mateo, CA. This is a hard requirement - there is not flexibility to be fully remote. The firm can provide sponsorship.
