Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) Install, configure, manage, and support network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless AP's, SSL VPN, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform networks, DNS/DHCP/AAA servers, etc.) Administration of Palo Alto Networks firewalls to ensure information security, work closely with SecOps team to administer IPS/IDS Perform as Tier 3 escalation in support of IT Operations organization by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure Building out of network infrastructure in corporate offices and factories with MDFs/IDFs and APs Monitor network performance and integrity Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness Mentor team members on technical issues Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. AAA and disaster recovery) Communicate with users and business partners when needed Maintain complete technical documentation Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability On-call rotations supporting 24x7 production operations

Required Skills ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator or Network Architect Solid background in network administration and architecture In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP), routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF), and AAA related services (Active Directory, Radius, SAML) Experience with Unix/Linux environments Familiarity with access control models and network security Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g. Python, Perl) Solid understanding of network operating systems (Palo Alto Strata, Cisco IOS) Sharp troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently Experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analysis tools such as Ekahau, LogicMonitor, SolarWinds network tools An analytical mind with a problem-solving and ‘can-do’ attitude Ability to take quick decisions while working independently

DESIRABLE SKILLS: Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP) 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Azure and Google Cloud Platform experience, and certifications Nutanix AHV and Cisco Meraki experience Cisco ASA and Any connect experience
