Infostretch is hiring Senior Software Engineer (Java) in San Francisco. You will be helping in development and maintenance of Data Platform. You will be helping with the migration of platform from Airflow to Cadence. This platform previously used Python with Airflow but now migrating towards Java (Springboot) with Uber Cadence for workflow configurations and executions. Apart from that, you will be working with Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Elastic Search, message queues like Kafka, PubSub and caching using Redis, etc. Most of this is deployed on Kubernetes via Google Cloud Platform. Responsibilities:Contribute to the design and development of the data workflow management platform.Develop new distributed systems from scratch.Support transitioning legacy systems.Refine processes for normalization, performance-tuning and analytics.Mentor fellow teammates on design patterns and best practices. Qualifications:- 5-7 years software development experience in a production environment - Able to work independently with minimal guidance - Expertise in Java and Python - Experience working with cloud technologies, such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS - Experience building streaming micro-services - Experience with popular big data/distributed computing frameworks, eg. - - Kafka, Spark, Hadoop Experience with SQL and NOSQL, structured and unstructured data, Cassandra is an advantage - Hands-on experience with workflow management and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Airflow, NiFi) is an advantage - Familiarity with container-orchestration technologies, eg. Kubernetes - Adept in the principles of software engineering, including systems engineering, testing, and software architecture - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to exercise judgment to make sound decisions - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- BS degree or higher in a technical discipline Top 3 SkillsJava, Python
