- Understanding, designing, and implementing security principles
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- debugging, Troubleshooting, and optimizing website performance.
- Develop and customize website functionalities. Essential skills and experience
- Knowledge of PHP, MYSQL, JS (jQuery), CSS, and HTML.
- Expertise in WordPress customization, development, plugins, and API integration.
- Customize or develop an existing theme.
- Must have experience in plugin customization and be aware of new plugin development.
- In-depth understanding of performance/security considerations.
- Knowledge of WordPress coding standards.
- Experience working with WordPress Multisite development.
- Knowledge of other page builders is a plus like - Elementor, Divi, etc.
- Follow SEO best practices for site development.
- Good understanding of version control like git.
- Git workflow with CI/CD. Good to have or should be willing to learn on the job: - DNS and websites in general - familiar with Git Hub
