Position: IT Project Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Job Summary:Background: Demonstrated ability to manage a Data/Database project with multiple squads for a GMP environment. The project will be for the development of a raw materials Data Repository in the Roche Amazon Cloud where, ultimately, users can easily access and feed available raw material Data into their own evaluation tools.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager in the Manufacturing space.
  • Ability to tailor project approach and methodology or Framework used (Agile or Waterfall) to the business need and coach the team to enable the delivery model
  • Experience with software development
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Good knowledge of Waterfall and Agile frameworks
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
  • PMP and/or Scrum certification are a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Align with an external vendor who is piloting the capture of Data from external vendor's paper certificates of Analysis for Manufacturing raw materials
  • Manage the effort to enable the ingestion of raw material source Data into the Roche Amazon Cloud data hub using Talend.
  • Manage the effort to enable the ingestion, processing and storage of raw material data in a secure data repository (bubble) within the Roche Amazon Cloud data hub using Talend.
  • Align with an external consulting firm for raw material data repository user interface development.
  • Assemble, guide, empower and serve the team to create value for our business and, ultimately, our patients.
  • Coordinate resources and third party/vendor through all phases of the project
  • Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Create collaborative partnerships, with customers, vendors and other Roche teams to achieve agreed upon and clearly defined project objectives with business stakeholders and Informatics.
  • Facilitate the selection of the best project delivery method (i.e. Agile principles and practices or Waterfall) that best fits the business needs and support teams to align with guiding principles of either methodology as required.
  • Orchestrate the formation of a squad and ensure appropriate team members are requested and assigned by Pharma Informatics or other Technology partners
  • Support and coach the team as required to enable adoption of agreed ways of working and to guide the team through potential challenges and questions, which may include guidance to evolve into self governing teams in Agile delivery.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and conflicts can be resolved among the team
  • Formulate risk mitigation strategies and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent communicator, listener and collaborator who is able to present complex information, issues and potential solutions to the senior IT management, senior customer management, and executive teams.
