- Develop, configure, enhance, integrate and/or support software computer systems, business applications, data management systems, and/or other programmable or configurable software components
- Apply current technology, tools and techniques toward solving business problems
- Solutions may involve design, implementation/integration, testing, debugging, performance tuning, documentation, validation, and support
- Implementation may involve development of operating procedures and/or training of service personnel and end users
- Translate business requirements into maintainable software components
- Identify risks and dependencies and work on mitigation plans
- Work with little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new projects or assignments
- Work with limited supervision with some guidance
- Interface with Senior Software Developers, Architects, Operations leads, Project managers/scrum masters etc.
- May need to oversee and lead the work of other contractor software developers
- Understand impacts, able to prioritize, document and follow up on these issues/impacts and projects quickly
- Good communicator and problem solving skills who asks clarifying questions on the business requirements and proposes technical solutions
- Customer focused, who understands near term and long term needs and partners with different technical groups to meet these needs.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in a technical capacity with campus security system ecosystems
- Knowledge of API-based integration, microservices architecture and security (SOAP and RestFul) - MuleSoft preferred
- Good understanding of system and data integration from several systems
- Prior experience with automation and automation software, networking and protocols, remote access and monitoring etc is huge plus
- Other areas of knowledge: SQL server, IIS, AWS
- Experience working with as many of the following as possible is a huge plus
