Looking for a data center support coordinator responsible for managing operations with data center vendors, maintaining the hardware assets, and resolving system issues. This key role will be a part of the Data Center Community (DCC) team focused on providing services for external parties to create a positive partner experience. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Release Management team to submit remote hand tickets on behalf of the Node Provider/Customer in a timely manner across multiple data centers globally
  • Help create escalation paths for faulty hardware in external data centers.
  • Liaison with hardware manufacturers to RMA faulty hardware for our Node Providers.
  • Manage all Internet Computer Rack asset inventory and ship out hardware to Node Providers and DFINITY engineers.
  • Coordinating data center specifications to gather quotes from data center colocations.
  • Negotiate the terms during the sales process and ensure all quotes meet technical requirements.
  • Support the Data Center Coordinator as a point of contact for all of our data center partners.
  • Submit RMAs tickets to fix, update, and/or exchange hardware equipment as needed for the DFINITY Foundation.
  • Support the Program Manager with DCC's Infrastructure Program Initiatives. Be the technical point of contact for the members in the program.
  • Coordinate with the Data Center Services team to rollout hardware in external data center colocations for external partners.
  • Support the Data Center Services team to create hardware installation runbooks.
Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Data Center support and operations; extensive experience with logistical and operational optimization when working with all the various network partners (Data Center, VARs, Remote Hands, Manufacturers) is a must.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • The role is a fit for someone who thrives on solving complex problems and taking initiative.
  • This role requires work in both CEST to PST time zones.
