NO C2C Description: Requirement: Computing equipment to work remotely during shelter in place. Open to seeing non-local candidates who are willing to relocate at their own expense once PG&E resumes onsite work (after March 2021) TOP THINGS: - Experience as an RTE - Shows an ability to coach others - Shows a self-driven nature (i.e. out finding problems and fixing them without being told to) Seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) / Senior Scrum Master for the Wildfire / PSPS technology delivery agile release train (ART). The individual will be expected to support one team as a Scrum Master and facilitate the execution of the ART as an RTE. Role includes: Escalate impediments and help manage risk. Engage with business stakeholders to configure agile processes to the organization's needs. Foster cross-value stream coordination and collaboration to help drive continual improvement. Job Summary and Responsibilities Drives multiple release planning sessions Resolves impediments outside of a scrum master's span of influence Tracks dependencies and risks across the portfolio Fosters an environment that anticipates and acts upon potential threats or opportunities Provides leadership, direction and coaching to scrum teams and scrum masters Maintains metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on program-level maturity, plans, progress and quality Assesses the costs and potential benefits of new approaches to release management Implements automation processes where possible Ensures the agreed quality standards within an organization are adhered to and best practice is promulgated throughout the organization Aligns strategy, methodology and execution Top Competencies to Test For Process Orientation: Designs practices, processes, procedures and systems to manage work simply; follows directions and uses resources efficiently Business Results Orientation: Seeks to understand business needs, and manages work within the context of the business environment Influence: Applies different strategies to convince others to change their opinion or plan, and wins support from others for ideas Communication: Conveys complex and technical issues to diverse audiences Analytic Ability: Combines and organizes information into meaningful patterns; identifies underlying relationships, causes and effects; and combines pieces of information to form conclusions or general rules Basic Qualifications Bachelor's in computer science or related field Minimum five years' overall IT experience Minimum three years' experience as a scrum master, product owner or agile coach Knowledge of Agile software development principles, values, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job level Knowledge of workforce planning analytics theories, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job level Preferred Skills and Experience Trade certification preferred (e.g., scaled agile program consultant, scrum master) Experience with Kanban/software development life cycle Deep and broad knowledge base in fundamental IT technical skill sets
