The Project/Program Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects and programs for our client, a successful national chain of neighborhood grocery stores. This includes developing project plans, managing resources and vendors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.Projects vary from rollouts of POS and other store-related hardware, various technology infrastructure projects at the store-level to overseeing other project managers for their assigned company vertical. This IS NOT a software development or deeply technical PM role. Candidates should be familiar with technology infrastructure, but have a background based on business-type projects.Location: Hybrid 3 days/week onsite in the San Gabriel Valley/East LA County area The expected salary for this role is $125,000 – $140,000 annually (paid hourly)
What You Will Do:- Oversee critical store projects and programs, from rolling out new/upgraded hardware to managing vendors, and other related projects.
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
- Confirm program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes
- 10+ years as a Project Manager overseeing complex hardware and systems-related projects.
- Retail or supply chain experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience building project plans, forecasts, budgeting, etc.
- Experience with MS Project and Jira or other project management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
- Executive-level communication and interpersonal skills. You must be a “people person” and be able to explain technical terms to non-technical users. Mentor-like personality.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills. Highly organized with attention to detail
- PMP or other project management certifications are a plus
