Maxar Technologies, a world class leader in space technology, is seeking an experienced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) architect to join our team. In this role, you will support our efforts to create a connected system of services such that our design tools (MCAD, ECAD), PLM, ERP, and MES applications maintain a digital thread. We are specifically looking for someone with experience in implementing PTC Windchill from the ground up.

By understanding MAXAR design processes, you will use new technology and features to better support our growing design needs. You will also be the business process specialist for Requirements Management, BOM Management, Document Management, Change Management, and PartsLink as it pertains to the engineering design and release processes in PTC Windchill.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements for PLM and CAD related enhancements from key user groups group in design and manufacturing
  • Daily Support of all things PLM and its associated interfaces.
  • Coordinate PLM enhancements with the PLM team, engineering and manufacturing, and IT resources.
  • Understand company modeling practices and help implement new Model Based Design templates and business processes

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of related work experience (Masters degree may count towards 2 years of experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years working in PTCs Product Lifecycle Management application Windchill.
  • Experience in integrating PLM applications.
  • Knowledge of PTC Product Suite.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and standard modeling practices (ASME 14.xx).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in moving from drawing based processes to creating a Model Based environment - both from an engineering and manufacturing lens.
  • Configuring Thingworx for IoT and Reporting use cases.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • An understanding of PLM data models.
