- Understand software capabilities of existing research outcomes and work with HRI teams on ongoing basis to refine and improve the technologies to bring them closer to products and services.
- Take integrative view of research outcomes and propose engineering frameworks and implementations for productizing them.
- Working with HRI/Honda collaborators and users to build services and products to address their needs.
- Work with SPMs and Honda to create specifications and requirements.
- Provide technical leadership to an engineering team to build and deliver products and services.
- Own iterative product development and refinement based on newly developed technologies/research outcomes and customer feedback.
- Apply and promote solid, state-of-the-art software engineering tools, principles and methodologies to system development.
- B.S. in Computer Science or related Engineering area (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in software development, software architecture.
- Experience in one of: cloud or edge computing or embedded systems (robotics or automotive preferred).
- Service or product development preferably in automotive domain.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience in technical leadership of small to medium-sized teams
