That's precisely what some of our employees and prospective employees think when they came across CodeForce 360. Position Overview AV Technologist Requirements:

  • Possess breadth of experience in high-end commercial low-voltage (audio/video, network, control system) design and installations
  • Technical understanding of AV and IT systems and ability to understand and interpret data sheets, product specifications, and performance needs
  • Background in audio systems, videoconf systems, techtalk spaces, UX Labs,
  • Setting up systems that have open ended questions as part of product development process
  • Ability to design AV and IT systems, create system flow diagrams, and implement physical installation
  • Up-to-date awareness of AV and IT technologies and their features (Video over IP solutions, audio DSPs, Open Broadcaster Software, etc.)
  • Ability to read and follow AV system flow diagrams and support documentation
  • Ability to create documentation for support, user guides, and analysis of AV products
  • Duties will include all phases of work required to install, program and maintain AV and technology solutions, control systems, whole house audio and video systems and structured cable networks.
    • Install, test, repair, and validation new and existing hardware
    • Perform qualitative analysis of new AV products (VR headsets, hyper directional speakers, 360-cameras, etc.) and installation for user studies
    • Set up and maintain lab space, tools, and materials of a hardware R&D lab. Efficiently pull, terminate, label, and test cables between audio, video, data, and control equipment.
    • Perform basic hardware setup functions, such as cable patching and management, field installation of low voltage cabling, fabrication of cable assemblies including crimping and soldering terminations.
    • Possess a mechanical aptitude towards using power and hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, hammers, drills, and crimpers) to perform functions of the job
    • Possess knowledge and experience to properly use ladders
  • Possess ability to safely install displays, mounts, speakers, cameras, other AV equipment using in-wall, to structure and ceiling mounting methods
  • Review of product specifications sheets to ensure proper infrastructure requirements are met (e.g. checking that a projector's mount meets the safety ratings before hanging it)
  • Must follow all safety and OSHA requirements
