Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate 3 & 5 axis vertical/horizontal CNC mills (Haas and Makino)
- Work with team members to develop standardized processes for machining, fixturing, and setup to increase productivity.
- Collaborate with engineers and programmers to improve the design and manufacturability of high quality and aesthetically pleasing components
- Create an optimal machining strategy including order of operations, tool selection, speeds & feeds, fixturing, and setup
- Work independently in a team environment
- Keep parts in tolerance
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance
- Materials: stainless steel and titanium
- 5+ years of 5-axis mill machining experience
- Ability to program using CAM software for 3 and 5 axis CNC mills (HSMworks experience a plus)
- Proficiency in reading and editing G-code and canned cycles (Fanuc and Haas)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to read and write macro/variable programming
- Positively interacting within a team environment
- Familiarity with Makino 5-axis Mills
- Experience with HSMWorks
- Experience with Solidworks
- Experience with blueprint creation
- Pride in quality craftsmanship
- Experience developing and improving CAM post code
