­Cloud Operations and Infrastructure EngineerWho You’ll Work WithCloud Platform and Solutions Group is developing a suite of software products that adheres to the ETSI NFV Management and Orchestration standard. The solution is an important part of Cisco's virtualization strategy and enables the powerful 'orchestration engine'.Managed Services Accelerator (MSX) is a multi-tenant, multi-service, cloud-native, service creation and delivery platform that helps service providers quickly, easily, and cost-effectively develop and deliver managed services to business customers. The MSX team has been tasked with building the solution from the ground up and extending it to transform the future of virtual services delivery.The CPSG team will design, develop, and deploy transformational experiences leveraging Cloud Technologies for the Cloud Services market. This group within Cisco tasked with building the solution from the ground up to transform the future of virtual services delivery.What You’ll DoYou will be part of the operations team and support both internal and external customers.This role has the following responsibilities:

Deploy, upgrade and maintain the cloud (AWS) infrastructure for a reliable, highly available, secure and scalable MSX platform for production

Monitor, upgrade and operate Cisco CVIM OpenStack private clouds in the lab

Monitor, upgrade and operate Kubernetes platforms in the lab

Monitor, upgrade and operate VMWare ESXi Clusters in the lab

Provide Infrastructure-as-a-Service for MSX Engineering teams during development cycle

Provide CI/CD tools as a service for MSX Engineering teams (Jenkins, Docker Repo, Vault, Github)

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test, demo, and production environments as needed Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to escalations outside of normal working hours as needed Suggest improvements to product to make the application high performing Contribute to and maintain a knowledge base· Implement state of the art monitoring and logging Apply best practices and emerging concepts in DevOps and infrastructure automation

Design and implement security best practices from day one

Remain knowledgeable about emerging standards and trends

Who you are:

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related fields

5+ years of experience in supporting large distributed enterprise applications (scalable, reliable, available, distributed)

4+ years of experience with AWS and OpenStack

Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes Strong experience with Linux and Networking Strong experience with scripting languages, Python and bash Strong experience with Git· Good understanding of the following technologies: Consul, Vault, Kafka, Redis, ELK Familiar with Java, J2EE, Spring, Servlets, JSPs Familiar with SOA and Java Web Services - REST, JSON

Experience working with NoSQL databases like Cassandra.

In-depth knowledge of application servers like Jetty, Tomcat

Familiarity with build process and tools like Gradle, Jenkins

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills

A self-starter and a team player

Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving organization and service

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

Prior experience developing and supporting a mission critical 24/7 global service is highly desirable
