- This role requires a deep experience in DSP techniques, particularly in solving audio challenges.
- The ideal candidate will have proven hands on experience with delivering embedded products on DSPs and contemporary application processors.
- As the architect, key developer and domain authority of the Voice Engine, you will deliver key features to create production differentiation
- Effectively collaborate with hardware, mechanical and firmware engineers to implement a top-quality audio product design
- Provide technical leadership for development partnerships
- Provide guidance and recommendations to members of the product team in solving critical development and customer issues
- Extensive experience with designing, implementing and enhancing audio signal processing algorithms, and their integration into embedded software
- Deep understanding of adaptive signal processing, digital filter design, system identification and stochastic signal processing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to drive technical decisions
- Ability to use audio benchmarking and debug techniques to evaluate and optimize system performance
- Hands-on experience developing DSP applications using multi-threaded concepts
- Ability to assess impact of hardware and mechanical designs on the audio sub-system
- BSEE or MSEE with emphasis in Audio Signal Processing or Digital Communications or equivalent
- 12+ years of experience building embedded communications products based on DSP’s or ARM processors
- Proven record of hands on audio software product development from concept to release
- Demonstrated experience with C, DSP/ARM Assembly and real time, multi-threaded applications
- Well-rounded expertise in the field of signal processing, real-time system design and acoustics for the speech subsystem
- Expertise in related fields highly desired: speech coding, acoustic echo cancellers, active noise reduction and cancellation, voice over IP or voice over WLAN, high speed modem design, digital cellular system design
- Up to 10% travel required
