Job Description
Position: IT Support Engineer - LeadLocation:San Jose, CA, USThis opportunity reports to the Director IT / OperationsThis role serves as the team lead of the corporate offices located in the US and EMEA. Supports related to computer systems, hardware, local servers, applications, or software by isolating problems, determining the cause, and implementing solutions.
Responsibilities:- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT Helpdesk
- In-person or remotely, you’ll provide technical assistance and support for all incoming IT Helpdesk requests and issues related to computer systems, application, services, software, and hardware. Follow up and ensure issues have been resolved.
- Because of your expertise, you’ll document internal procedures and create a training and instruction manual.
- Managing PC/Laptop setup and deployment for employees with standard hardware, images, and software.
- Assist employee orientation and training.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software, and provide support on the company local office IT related system system, web/audio conferencing service, printers and phone system.
- On an on-going basis, you’ll maintain an inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems. Maintain daily performance and monitoring of computer systems.
- Supporting regional corporate office IT Site Support Engineers.
- Responsible caching team members, develop team strengths, resolve conflict and task/project initiatives and progress monitoring
Qualifications
Qualifications/Your BackgroundMinimum of 4-5 years’ experience in:
- TCP/IP, IP networking knowledge and WiFi, i.e. IP subnet, DNS, DHCP
- PC / Laptop hardware and Windows OS and MacOS experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Application.
- Working with various server and client hardware platforms, i.e. Lenovo.
- Working with various computer accessories.
- Experience with email system, i.e. Google G-Suite, Microsoft Exchange
- Web/Audio Conferencing, i.e. Zoom, WebEx
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and issues
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in:
- Leadership experience
- Experience with conference room equipment and application.
- Experience with virtual machines. i.e. VMWare
- Knowledge of Phone Systems, Cloud-based PBX, VoIP.
A background in the following is a plus:
- Linux OS and basic services i.e. SSHD
